Position: Chief Finance Officer
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
A leading Property and Facilities Management company, with its head office in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Chief Finance Officer (CFO). This family-run business has been successfully operating for 30 years, focusing on managing properties for Homeowners' Associations and Body Corporates. Additional services include rental collections, facilities management, utilities management, and insurance brokerage. As the company continues to expand its offerings and footprint, it aims to foster a cooperative, professional, and growth-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned executive with significant industry experience to lead and inspire our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in helping the company achieve its goal of becoming a market-leading brand, while ensuring sustainable financial growth and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Board and Executive team to execute the shareholders’ vision and objectives.
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with both short-term and long-term goals.
- Conduct financial planning and analysis to drive growth and ensure sound financial health.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and maintain relationships with relevant authorities.
- Uphold company legality and ethics by enforcing adherence to legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks to the company’s strategic objectives.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, accounting standards, and regulations affecting the business.
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial systems, internal controls, and reporting mechanisms.
- Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports to the Board.
Requirements and Skills:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant industry, with at least three years in an executive role.
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent, with expertise in property management systems.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and Caseware.
- Solid understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and deadline-driven.
- Proven leadership ability with a talent for motivating teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with fellow executives and influence key financial and governance decisions.
