Position Overview
As the Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and growing our brand presence in the construction sector. Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution: - Develop and implement strategic sales plans independently to penetrate the market and achieve company objectives.
- Identify potential customers, cultivate leads, and foster business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Handle contracting directly with clients, including contract administration, negotiation, and setup, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and develop tailored sales strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, market share, and sustainable growth opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers, serving as the primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries and negotiations.
- Evaluate commercial activities using key performance metrics to drive improvements in effectiveness and growth.
- Set financial targets and participate in budget development and monitoring processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and optimal resource allocation.
- Prepare performance reports and conduct financial and budgeting processes to track progress against targets and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee administrative tasks of the sales and marketing department, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and OKRs to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Marketing Strategy and Brand Building: - Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives to build brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing collateral, digital campaigns, and PR initiatives.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
- Lead the creation of impactful content, including articles, case studies, and industry reports, to position the company as an industry leader.
Customer Relationship Management: - Provide customer support and sales assistance to existing and potential customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries and concerns.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to inform product development and service improvements.
Qualifications and Experience - A relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g. BEng/ BTech, BCom in Logistics/Supply Chain Management).
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree would be advantageous (Not a requirement).
- 5 - 7+ years of experience in sales and marketing within the construction industry, with a proven record of exceeding revenue targets and market share growth.
- Proven track record of navigating complex market landscapes and capitalizing on emerging opportunities.
- Strong strategic and operational expertise, consistently delivering impactful initiatives.
- Business acumen, with an understanding of financial and economic concepts to evaluate business growth and sustainability.
