The Marketing Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Marketing Department by assisting with the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing strategies and campaigns. This position demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative capabilities and marketing experience to ensure seamless marketing operations and the achievement of marketing objectives.
Salary: R30 000 per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Documentation Support:
- Assist the Marketing team in preparing and managing marketing documentation and promotional materials.
- Ensure all marketing materials are up-to-date and accurately reflect the company's brand and messaging.
2. Promotional Items Management:
- Assist in the procurement, branding, and inventory management of promotional items.
- Coordinate internally to book items into stock and ensure compliance with all related processes and guidelines.
3. Stock Management:
- Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Update stock quantities and report discrepancies as necessary.
4. Logistics and Dispatch:
- Organize, dispatch, and courier promotional items to customers and dealers efficiently.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items, maintaining high standards of customer service.
5. Event Assistance:
- Support the planning, organization, and execution of internal and external events, including dealer events and trade shows.
- Coordinate logistics, manage event materials, and assist with on-site setup and support.
6. Dealer/Customer Marketing Support:
- Handle customer and dealer complaints and queries related to marketing topics with a commitment to service excellence.
- Provide prompt feedback and communication to dealers and customers, including marketing materials, documents, and logos.
7. Marketing Initiatives:
- Support various brand and marketing initiatives as needed.
- Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading content for diverse platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters.
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate design and branding guidelines.
8. Cross-Departmental Support:
- Provide ad-hoc support to other departments, including Sales and Logistics, as needed
9. Administrative Efficiency:
- Ensure all administrative functions are effectively implemented and align with company and system requirements.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for easy access and reference.
10. Team Participation:
- Actively participate in team and department meetings.
- Contribute to training initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing coordination & administration.
- Diploma or degree in Marketing or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Advantageous Skills:
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop).
- Experience with social media management and digital marketing tools.
- Event coordination experience.
- Copywriting and press relations experience.
- Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis.

- Experience in influencer marketing campaigns.
