What you will be doing:
- Provide visionary leadership to the PMO, setting the strategic direction for project management practices and ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Keep all stakeholders informed of project status, there are multiple projects with highly skilled resources, the need to track all the projects, elevate any projects at risk of delay - strong documentation, planning and ability to pivot as per business need.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistent and high-quality project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the PM team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Client Services Department to ensure seamless integration of project management processes and enhance overall client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues to minimise impact on project delivery. Ensure timely escalation to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Ensure the highest standards of delivery quality by implementing rigorous quality assurance processes, conducting regular project reviews, and gathering client feedback to improve service delivery continuously. Address any client concerns promptly and effectively to maintain strong client relationships and trust.
- Bring a strong commercial discipline and rigour to processes across the client lifecycle, from project planning, scope changes and management reporting.
What you need:
- Tertiary qualification would be preferred.
- Project Management certification - any methodology is essential although this is an Agile, Scrum environment.
- Minimum of 10 years running medium to large size projects.
- Expert-level knowledge of project and change management, associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches.
- Display strategic thinking capabilities, with abilities to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture.
- Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others.
- Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers and vendor groups. Ability to identify problems and be effective in problem resolution.
- Resilience and resourcefulness.
- Strong documentation and written English skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Project Office, MS Office and Smartsheets advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex SDLC projects.
