Job title: Financial Administrator
Job Overview:
As a Financial Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable and assisting in the overall financial management of the organisation. Your attention to detail, proficiency with financial software, and ability to work independently will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Xero, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documentation.
- Update and maintain financial databases.
- Assist with the management of debtors and creditors such as processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and follow-up on outstanding payments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the smooth flow of financial operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Assist with financial projects and initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- 5 - 7 years in a similar position.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, with exposure to debtors and creditors functions.
- Valid drivers license and own transport.
- Relevant finance or accounting qualifications would be advantageous.
Location: Somerset West
Salary offered: R15k - R20k depending on experience
Starting Date: January 2025
