Functieomschrijving As an Infrastructure Planning Manager, you'll be responsible for building and managing Microsoft's global data center estate. You will also have the opportunity to take part in our Azure Sentinel program - a 24/7 incident detection service that uses machine learning to identify potential problems before they impact users.
Requirements
Aligns with the Technology Executive Team, Business Process Custodians, Business Process Owners, Service Delivery Managers, IM Managers, Enterprise Application Managers, Infrastructure Managers, Manager: Information Security, Solution Managers, Application Planning Manager and Enterprise Architecture Manager to develop the Global Application Planning strategy and roadmap (up to 3 to 5 years).
Ensures collaboration with other stakeholders to develop future state global enterprise technology architecture and strategy, as well as to inform on the selection of solutions.
Lead the analysis of Technology Shared Service strategic directions on enterprise architecture and emerging industry technology trends and developments, and define the strategic and tactical approaches that support the timely and cost-effective transition to new technologies.
Develops appropriate strategies and roadmaps for the full range of on-premises and cloud Infrastructure Applications used in AGA, including, but not restricted to:
Microsoft Office 365 – On-premise / Cloud.
Mobile Device Management (Intune).
Base Server Hardware, OS & Virtualization.
Backups - On-premise / Cloud.
Cloud (Azure Primary & *AWS advantageous).
Monitoring.
Works with the Technology Executive Team, global Project Management Office (PMO), Manager: Technology Planning, Investment and Portfolio Management, and other stakeholders to implement the agreed strategies and roadmaps.
Contribute to enterprise architecture strategic planning and the development of the related budget forecasts and ensure that costs associated with implementing enterprise activities are effectively monitored and managed through cost controls.
Facilitate collaboration across the Group to exploit technical architecture synergies and avoid duplication.
Educate and ensure compliance in line with architecture framework, principles and standards with solution architects.
Share business information and knowledge across the AGA stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with appropriate technical architecture governance and compliance, statutory and/or legal requirements.
Develops and maintains global technical architecture policies and standards and performance metrics.
Governs and controls global application architecture (based on TOGAF, COBIT and leading practice)
Ensures alignment to business requirements, demand planning and operational performance.
Participate in the creation and review of governing principles to guide in solution decision-making for the organization.
Provide tactical consultation on critical business and technical architecture problems, researching and identifying enabling technologies based on business requirements and defined business processes.
Monitor trends within the industry and be guided by others (Enterprise Architecture, Application & Infrastructure Planning Architecture, Security and Business Planning) when developing architecture roadmaps.
Provide input into the Technology strategy and Business planning.
Regular contact and consulting with advisory bodies (IDC, Gartner, The Open Group Forum, etc.) and vendor relations.
Work with Operations, Technology, and Security teams to stay abreast of the latest technical architecture trends.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Solid demonstratable experience in leading large-scale business and enabling technology programs within the resources industry.
Deep knowledge of technology process deployments.
Strong knowledge of Architecture Frameworks Knowledge (Togaf, Zachman, etc.).
Technical Writing Skills.
Fast learner and skilled researcher and auditor.

Qualifications
Degree or Post Degree Qualification in Engineering (Information Technology, Engineering or Business Management).
TOGAF or equivalent Certification would be advantageous.
An advantage to having an Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
7 to 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, cloud computing, and operations.
Considerable experience in requirements definition and analysis, development of business cases, application solution architecture, solution selection, implementation planning, and architecture governance.
A good understanding of network concepts as pertains to global multinational (Software Defined Networking, Cloud Connectivity, MPLS, Firewall).
Cybersecurity experience will be advantageous.
Understanding of the global legal technology requirements.
