Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial activities across multiple corporate entities in different territories. This role supports financial control and administration for an expanding international operation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and purchase orders for the South African entity.
- Manage fixed assets, stock reconciliations, and VAT submissions.
- Handle monthly financial reporting for entities in South Africa, the US, and the UK.
- Transfer Pricing:
- Implement and maintain transfer pricing protocols across related entities.
- Track shared services and calculate recharges.
- Outsourced Partner Management:
- Oversee outsourced bookkeeping for US operations and in-house bookkeeping for the UK.
- Support debt collection, inventory management, and trade finance reporting.
- Audit and Budgeting:
- Prepare for audits and contribute to budgeting for all entities.
- Consolidate accounts for international reporting.
- Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:
- Handle various financial administration requests and assist with corporate governance.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting practices, principles, and standards (IFRS, VAT, tax requirements).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple third-party and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a medium-sized enterprise (SME).
- Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and inter-company transfers.
- Familiarity with the Companies Act and financial regulations in international jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Finance Degree or Diploma.
