Our client in Kempton Park, East Rand is seeking the services of a highly capable Process Technician.
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and optimizing production processes to ensure high quality output while adhering to safety and environmental standards. The technician will troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with team members to implement
rocess improvements. A focus on quality control and operational efficiency is essential, as well as a
commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Training and Development of Staff:
• Design and implement comprehensive training programs for Process Technicians and Trainee Process Technicians.
Ensuring Production Targets:
Changeovers and SMED Training :
• Oversee and manage changeovers to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Develop and deliver training programs on Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) techniques
to operators, focusing on quick and efficient changeovers.
Documentation of Critical Information and SOPs:
Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving:
• Facilitate daily Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving sessions based on issues identified
in Daily Operations Meetings (DOM).
Training on Preventive Maintenance:
• Ensure that operators are trained in basic preventive maintenance tasks (Autonomous
Maintenance) to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Matric or equivalent
• Mechanical Trade
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an FMCG manufacturing process environment
• Ability to do trouble shooting and present solutions in a fast-paced pressurised environments
