We are looking for a Mechanical Service Engineer for the Port Elizabeth area.
Educational & Training Requirements: - Trade tested Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum N4
- A certificate or diploma in supervisory management and/or a proven track record in a similar position
Experience Required: - A minimum of 5 years in a similar position
- Above average computer skills
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience
- Must be able to read CAD drawings
Job Requirements & Responsibilities: - To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard
- Control Maintenance costs according to the budget
- Purchasing of Spares and Equipment
- Manage projects
- Liaison with suppliers
- Implementation of all Safety aspects within the Plant
- Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery
- Must be strong on decision making and problem solving, Finding ways to improve efficiency of an operation
- Manage artisans with regards to performance, discipline etc.
- Training and development of staff
- Stand in for the Plant Engineer in his absence when required
- Dealing with all Engineering aspects within department, e.g. planned, preventative, breakdown maintenance and stock levels of spare parts.
