Business area and team
We're seeking a Marketing Operations Associate to streamline processes, manage marketing technology, and ensure data accuracy for efficient campaign execution. The role will be based in Cape Town, South Africe with a hybrid work model.
The role
As Senior Marketing Operations Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the execution and optimization of marketing campaigns, managing marketing technology platforms, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing and sales to streamline processes and improve overall marketing efficiency. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our marketing automation systems, CRM, and other marketing tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent project management skills, and a passion for marketing technology.
Key Accountabilities & responsibilities
Support the execution and optimization of marketing campaigns, including assisting in planning and execution of marketing events and webinars, as well as support for lead generation and nurturing activities. Manage marketing technology platforms and tools; ensure data accuracy and integrity across marketing systems; and maintain and optimize marketing automation systems and CRM. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. Monitor and report on key marketing metrics and KPIs; analyse campaign performance and provide actionable insights. Support the creation and maintenance of marketing documentation. Manage marketing asset libraries and ensure brand consistency. Conduct market research and competitive analysis. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in marketing operations or related role. Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), and experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR). Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of digital marketing channels and tactics. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Passion for marketing technology and innovation.
