Great opportunity for a Tax Administrator to join an established medium-sized audit and accounting firm based in Somerset West and Stellenbosch.
The firm is looking for a self-confident individual with a minimum of 5 years tax administration experience and preferably some tax related diploma, degree or formal training. CIPC and other statutory reporting experience will be a positive.
The purpose of the Tax Administrator position is to process provisional tax for all clients on Greatsoft and Efiling, act as primary contact for communication with SARS and clients regarding all tax related matters, manage an E-filing profile for the tax practice and manage the registration of clients for Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and WCA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tax Administration and dispute resolution.
- Submission of tax returns.
- Provisional tax returns.
- Lodging of disputes, requests for reasons, penalty waivers, dividends taxes, etc.
- Tax calculations and reconciliations.
- Budget management in respect of client engagements.
- Prepare proposal documents/ letters of engagement.
- Review of work.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Grow client portfolio.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Provide technical assistance to staff members (where required).
- Maintain excellent client relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree, diploma or certificate in finance, taxation or relevant field will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years tax administration experience.
- Experience working with Greatsoft, Caseware, SARS Efiling.
- Computer literate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
