We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage large-scale commercial solar projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the solar industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure the seamless execution of projects.

Minimum requirements:
- 4+ years working experience within a solar, electrical and/or construction industry
- Tertiary education in a relevant field would be highly beneficial
- Experience working on simultaneous projects/sites at a time, dealing with sub-contractors (from inception to handover)
- Travelling to various sites (rotation of sites)
- Excellent communication skills on all levels
- Computer literate (emails and excel)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Duties will include but is not limited to:
- Delivering PV installation project from an execution state of the project to completion.
- From site establishment to commissioning.
- Making sure the projects are done in time
- Project Planning: Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with senior management.
- Site Management: Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Contractor Coordination: Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, resolve issues, and manage subcontractor performance.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or obstacles, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements and industry standards.
- Budget Management: Assist in tracking project expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily, weekly and monthly reports, change orders, and correspondence with stakeholders.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with internal teams, clients, and regulatory authorities to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project timelines and budget.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure construction activities comply with environmental regulations and minimize ecological impacts.
- Training and Development: Continuously enhance knowledge of construction techniques, solar technologies, and project management practices through training and professional development opportunities.
