Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to develop and implement plans that support various functions in achieving the organisations overarching growth strategy. The role supports the implementation of operational frameworks, business models, organisational systems, structures, practices, processes, policies, procedures, and controls that support the organisations growth strategy. The role is therefore responsible for supporting organisational design, workforce modelling, project management, change management, talent management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Strategy and Culture
- Support people managers with the design of departmental strategies that support the achievement of the organisation strategy to drive employee and customer satisfaction, aligned to the organisational culture (people with purpose framework).
Organisational Diagnosis and Research
- Diagnose organisational systems, structures, practices, processes, policies, standards and controls to identify organisational improvement opportunities in support of the organisation’s strategic, tactical and operational plans.
Organisational Development and Design
- Design and analyse work, organisational structures and roles that support the organisation’s functional operating models
- Facilitate resource modelling and manpower modelling to ensure efficient resourcing and capacity
Project Management
- Meet project objectives, including (but not limited to) research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, consultation, survey design, survey administration and analysis, data modelling, and report writing
- Provide project status updates and executive summaries
Change Management
- Conduct change impact (people, processes, technology) and change complexity/maturity assessments to guide and support the organisations change management approach and implementation.
- Apply sound change management methodology to effectively manage change at the organisational, team and individual level.
- Coach project owners on effective change management practices and frameworks including communications, sponsor roadmaps, training, resistance management, risks and costing.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse and trend data to identify key issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Learning and Talent Development
- Develop and facilitate effective succession plans that facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure human resources are retained to support the organisations growth strategy.
General Organisation, Financial and People Management
- Actively participate in planning and budgeting processes
- Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
- Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards, governance and controls
Qualifications and Experience
- Masters Degree / NQF level 9 (Essential – Bachelor of Commerce)
- Industrial Psychologist (Preferred)
- Up to 3 years relevant experience
- MS Office (Intermediate), Sage People
- SAP
