Partner with Executives and the business to achieve its strategic objectives. Act as an effective HR business partner and provide strategic and tactical HR guidance and support.

You love Human Resources Management
Manage the implementation of the HR Strategic Plan and focus on key business priorities to ensure the business is a high-performing organisation. Partner with senior management and key stakeholders to execute business plans and management strategies to attract, retain, develop, and reward employees to meet ever-changing business needs. Build a competent workforce and a positive climate for employees, thereby making the business an Employer of Choice and playing an integral role in building a high-performance organisation. Ensure that all HR practices comply with legislative requirements and promote fair employment relationships. Remain abreast of best-practice to develop cutting-edge people management strategies and engage with businesses to align these to identified business needs. Proactively engage and partner with line management to ensure the implementation of strategic and tactical people management plans. Provide innovative and cost-effective solutions that address current and future business requirements. Continually measure the success of people management strategy and solutions in contributing to the achievement of business objectives and interpret these results to inform future actions. Consult with, and provide feedback to advise and influence relevant business unit heads on people management matters. Actively network with internal and external stakeholders to develop and enhance strategic business partnerships and align future plans to emerging trends. Collaboratively work with the business units to understand and interpret key business performance issues and objectives enabling the alignment of people's needs for current and future business challenges. Collaboratively work with the relative HR COE functions to develop and implement best practice people management solutions and coach business unit managers in the implementation of these to realise business benefits. Interpret key HR metrics and insights that are important for business partners and provide regular feedback to add value to, and guide business decisions Develop and manage policies, procedures, and practices for effectively managing employees in the organisation and ensuring compliance. Remain abreast of best-practice in HR matters to provide expert and credible advice to the business unit/s. Monitor and manage service delivered by HR business partners and support COE areas to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and initiatives to the organisation. Manage talent and recruitment needs of the business unit in its entirety to ensure the recruitment of appropriately skilled staff to key positions. Ensures that the talent review and management strategy is implemented for all staff. Partner with the business to identify and implement cost-saving/cost-containment measures thereby ensuring the organization’s continued profitability. Encourage and reinforce the organisation's values through driving Pulse Survey action plans and leadership principles and philosophy. Be a change agent by providing clear and effective communication to promote understanding of change and thereby ensuring stakeholder buy-in. Oversee the management of identified projects and ensure alignment with strategic intent.

Manage performance of direct reports ensuring agreement of annual goals and measuring performance against agreed goals and addressing non-performance issues. Deploy people management processes effectively, in line with Company policies, procedures and prevailing improvement initiatives. Drive operational excellence through an area of supervision Drive a culture of high performance and accountability and encourage team members to live the Company values.

Job Requirements
What you'll need to do this role
Relevant Human Resources related Bachelor's Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 A postgraduate leadership or business management-related qualification would be highly beneficial Human Resources experience at a senior management level of at least 8 years Direct Retail and/or Credit Operations experience (non-negotiable)
