Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To control and optimise the stores and to continuously improve current practices, methods, equipment and processes in a safe manner, in order to provide the required service levels and reduce costs to the company
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree or National Diploma 3 years’ relevant experience 1-year Supervisory experience in a similar environment will be advantageous Knowledge of SAP HR Computer Literacy
SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY
Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox) Identify and assess level of issue-based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc. Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.) Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status Adhere to all related SOP’s, PTO’s and CTO’s as per Training Matrix per position, SHEQ and company standards Align stores processes to ISO45001 standards and requirements and maintain a body of evidence required for ISO certification requirements
CUSTOMERS
Manage relationships with key stakeholders and ensure Customer Satisfaction Monitor customer satisfaction through a monthly Service Level Agreement review Interact with customers and familiarise yourself with operational concerns and any inherent peculiarities Attend key maintenance forum meetings Provide customer service and ensure customer satisfaction and competitive practice by generating insightful reports Conduct Customer Satisfaction Surveys and Investigate instances of material non-conformances

Supervise the Team:
Ensure an enabling climate/culture Maintain labour stability by minimising labour turnover Labour complement in line with budget to Achieve HDSA/Female targets for the Section Ensure IDP’s are implemented Conduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly) Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.) Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels Conduct recruitment interviews Monitor training requirements and adherence per LMS
General
Lead the Stores team to provide an efficient warehousing service, ensuring un-interrupted plant operations. Maintain and improve stores procedures and controls with the integrated use of SAP Optimise stock holding to improve working capital and to facilitate effective maintenance Optimise rotable stock items and related quality and repair warrantees Perform Time and Attendance verifications for the stores department Develop key reports to monitor departmental and site wide objectives relating to the stores function on site. Engage with procurement in delivering service to the stores
Inventory Control:
Manage the Inventory Control processes: Materials ManagementQuality inspection and controlOrderingReceivingIssuing Create daily stock requisitions utilizing the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system
Computer Systems:
Maintain and management material master data and creation of new materials Manage Critical Items (ABC Analysis) – classification and ensure no out of stocks Manage Obsolete stocks, write off processes and tender process to sell scrapped stocks
Rotable Stock Items:
Manage rotable process in line with company procedure and standards Identify rotable spares and any potential warranty claims Investigate abnormal reservations
SOP’s:
Review, update and develop SOP’s
