"Our international client is seeking an ASSISTANT OFFSHORE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER to assist and coordinate interdisciplinary work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specification for various Offshore Projects based WORLDWIDE."
JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board. Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard. Coordinate the construction activities during the shift and optimize all production phases. Ensure that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status. Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities. Solve matters related to coordination, priority and interface between the different disciplines in order to meet the scopes of the project. Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily Toolbox Talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the procedures.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Preferably with Technical High School Diploma or Civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering background. Minimum of 4 years of experience in the role of 1st assistant and 6-7 years of prior experience in the oil & gas business. Preferred with Engineering background. Skills: , , .
