Job Title: Junior Store Buyer
Location: Durban, South Africa
Hire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency, are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our client’s team as a Junior Store Buyer in their Durban store. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the selection and purchasing of merchandise for our client’s retail store to ensure that they have the right products available to meet customer demand and drive sales.
Responsibilities:
Assist senior buyers in researching and identifying new products or suppliers Analyze sales data and trends to make informed purchasing decisions Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Place purchase orders and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery Monitor inventory levels and work with the store manager to maintain optimal stock levels Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for merchandise Handle any product returns or quality issues in a timely manner Stay current on industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure we remain competitive in the market
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field 1-2 years of experience in retail buying or merchandising Strong analytical and negotiation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems Knowledge of the retail industry and current market trends Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
