Our luxury property in Camps Bay is looking for a passionate Front office Host. The Host is responsible for the overseeing of daily front office desk operations, ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes and creating a positive work environment.
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Hotel Management Diploma (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years experience in the same or similar position
- Multi-venue experience advantageous
- Strong OPERA knowledge
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle (advantageous)
Duties and responsibilities
- Courteously and accurately answer enquiries from potential guests
- Accept hotel reservations
- Respond to enquiries (telephone, email, in person) regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns
- Resolve customer issues, complaints, problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service
- Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking guest preferences and special requests
- Assist all departments in servicing the guests especially during high volume periods
- Adhere to company credit limit / floor limit policies
- Controls cash transactions at the front desk and maintains complete responsibility for personal bank
- Analysing customer feedback and providing strategic direction to continually improve overall rating
- Responding to guest needs and anticipating their unstated ones
- Promote all guest amenities, conveniences and programs offered
- Recommend local tourist spots, including places to dine, shop and sight-see
