An exciting opportunity is available for a talented Head of Finance to shape and manage the financial landscape for my client in the hospitality and travel sector. You will oversee financial management, compliance, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal incumbent thrives in scaling-up, matrix-model environments, seamlessly integrating financial functionality into business processes. You will have a hands-on approach to aiding company growth and team collaboration in an entrepreneurial, flexible environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and advise financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives Provide strategic financial insights, support and recommendations support and guide decision-making and drive profitability and growth Facilitate the annual budgeting and forecasting process Oversee day-to-day financial operations Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures Building out controls and processes to help facilitate better reporting and internal controls as the business grows Optimise financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and scalability Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape financial functionality around business processes Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue enhancement across the organisation Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to mitigate risks Monitor compliance with financial regulations and standards Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements Build and coach a high-performing team that provides the right skills at the right time and place
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Financial or Management Accounting CA(SA), ACMA, CGMA, or similar qualification advantageous 7- 10 years’ finance experience, with proven track record of success in a leadership role Proven track record of making impact in scalable business environments experiencing rapid growth Experience in the travel, hospitality industries (desirable) Strong understanding of financial systems, regulations, and best practices Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, leadership and team management capabilities
