Overview
Hire Resolve’s client in the Renewable Energy industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage renewable energy projects from inception to completion. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy installations. Design and engineer renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind, and hydro. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues that arise. Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. 10 – 15 years’ experience in renewable energy project management or engineering. Proficiency in renewable energy system design software (., PVsyst, WindPRO). Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and industry best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Professional certification or licensure in renewable energy engineering (., PEng, RE). Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for renewable energy projects. Must be able to use Outlook/Email, Shared Drive, Google Chrome, Excel, and Word. Preferential: Driver’s license and driving experience. Based in Johannesburg. Meticulous recording of information, filing, and paperwork. Must be self-driven and highly motivated to achieve results and continuously improve skills and learning.
