An industry-leading client of ours is looking for a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
Key Requirements:
BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying Registered as a Professional with the SACQSP Must be a South African citizen 10 years post-Pr QS registration experience Project management qualification or experience beneficial Analytical thinker with proven problem solving Ability to manage and prioritize complex tasks Strong verbal and written communication skills Competency in mathematical and accounting principles Reports, feasibility studies and cost analyses of processes Should be able to manage multiple projects at the same time Excellent construction- and general project management skills Be able and willing to mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors Sound knowledge of the JBCC and other relevant building contracts Sound knowledge of CIDB standards
Responsibilities:
Doing estimates Measuring Quantities from plans to compile BOQs Preparing tender documentation Preparing valuations Preparing variation orders Attending site meetings Contract administration Preparing Cost Reports Measuring and agreeing final accounts Project Management Quality Assurance Multi-disciplinary services co-ordination Team co-ordination Oversee projects as needed Liaising with clients and other stake holders Public facilities building experience. Preferably experience with Government projects and the South African tender process
