My Client is urgently seeking a formally qualified Financial Assistant to manage and oversee the day-to-day financial responsibilities for our Shareblock on the reserve. Qualifications and Experience Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•Professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar financial role.
•Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
•Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Previous experience in the hospitality or conservation sector is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the Shareblock.
Payroll and Staff Benefits: Process payroll and manage staff benefits, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Financial Management and Governance: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations and governance standards.
Prepare financial reports and present findings to management.
Debtors: Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and follow-up on overdue accounts.
Creditors : Handle accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
Banking: Manage all banking activities, including reconciliations and cash flow management.
Cash Book: Maintain accurate cash book records and perform regular reconciliations.
Stock Control: Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate stock records are maintained.
Asset Register: Maintain and update the asset register, ensuring all assets are accounted for and properly documented.
Depreciation: Calculate and record depreciation for all assets.
Insurance: Manage insurance policies and ensure adequate coverage for all assets and liabilities.
Value Added Tax (VAT): Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
IRP5 Documents: Prepare and submit IRP5 documents for all employees.
Annual Audit: Assist with the preparation for the annual audit and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
Member Files : Maintain and update member files, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Staff Uniforms: Manage the procurement and distribution of staff uniforms.
