Job Purpose :
As the Business Intelligence & Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the reporting function across the organisation. This entails developing, testing, designing, implementing, and project managing reporting areas to support informed decision-making processes. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate closely with partners to ensure data-driven excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the reporting team, as well as coordinate with external service providers.
- Develop, test, design, and implement reporting solutions to meet organisational needs.
- Project manage reporting initiatives to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights.
- Foster effective communication with users, service providers, and system providers.
- Oversee implementation of new binders, brokers, UMAs, or source systems.
- Manage performance, staff development, and recruitment within the team.
- Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of reporting data.
- Utilise Business Intelligence Reporting Tools (e.g., QlikView, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense) to create impactful reports.
- Handle report design, implementation, and analysis to drive strategic decisions.
- Apply T-SQL skills to enhance data processing and analysis.
- Leverage your knowledge of Short Term Insurance systems (e.g., Tial, MMX, Cardinal, Websure, Genasys) to optimize reporting outcomes.
- Demonstrate expertise in data warehousing and its components.
- Maintain excellent project management skills to ensure deliverables are met.
- Showcase strong communication skills to facilitate productive interactions.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Matric Certificate with Mathematics as a subject
- At least 6 years of reporting experience.
- At least 6 years of experience using Business Intelligence Reporting Tools.
- 2-3 years in a supervisory role overseeing reporting/BI/data analysis.
- Strong Excel skills and T-SQL moderate proficiency.
- Business Intelligence Reporting Tool certificate (QlikView, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense).
- Experience in Short Term Insurance and knowledge of related systems.
- Fluency in English and willingness to work overtime.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
