Job Description
An international firm of Consulting Engineers is looking for a Senior Solar Engineer to join their growing Cape Town team.
The firm holds a substantial market position for OE and IE services to support financing and construction of solar energy projects in Africa and the Middle East; and their staff are seen as experts and thought leaders in the industry.
Minimum Requirements:
•Master / Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematical, Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university. Electrical is preferable.
•Minimum of 3 years experience working in the solar PV industry and/or Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the renewables industry
•Familiarity with energy industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting system, balance of system, etc)
•Project management and time management skills, including an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines and to establish and maintain good relations with clients.
•Previous experience in technical advisory, consultancy and / or Technical Due Diligence is a plus
•Excellent command of the English language
