Core Purpose
KGA is currently recruiting for an HSEQ Manager with extensive experience, managing Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality in Multidisciplinary Engineering and Construction projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals or similar sectors. The HSEQ Manager will be primarily responsible for Health, Safety, and Environmental and maintaining a quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope in accordance with applicable standards and specifications within budget and time. The HSEQ Manager will apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
Key Performance Areas
Maintain quality, health, safety and environmental systems; implement and audit to achieve compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Provide leadership to support the management and compliance with HSEQ standards Manages and leads Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance teams and Corporate initiatives. Coordinates the delivery of HSEQ products and services to operations personnel, in support of execution. Interfaces with regulatory bodies, clients and subcontractors. Incorporates health standards directed by regulatory agencies to prevent hazards and diseases from work sites. Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within a function. Participates in the development of a functional strategy for the Company. Excellent and topical knowledge of Quality Management Systems. A “hands-on” implementer of processes and a strong driver of the “Management of change” process Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner. Manage the lessons learned process within the Company. Management review of QMS and presentation to the Management Review Team/Board of Directors Drives the Safety Risk and Incident Management processes Develop and implement Audit schedule Verify that the development of QCP’s and ITPs by QC is in place Verify that PWHT subcontractors’ reviews, verification of hydrotesting and all other testing are done by QC. Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, and quality tools for problem solving and assessment. Conducts Incident investigations and liaising with DOL, COID, SAPS and clients/stakeholders Makes recommendations for corrective action. Maintain HSQE deviation/incidents/non-conformances registers Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines. Closing all Non-Conformances and Work Process Improvements. This position carries Legal Appointment Responsibilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Quality/Health and Safety/Environmental Management Diploma or Engineering Diploma with Health and Safety/Environmental Management Certificate SACPCMP Registration as a Construction Health Safety Manager Total Quality Management/Safety Management/Environmental Management and knowledge and implementation of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, SAIW 3834-2, Welding codes etc SACPCMP registration as an Agent NEBOSH Health experience and knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, SAIW 3834-2, Welding codes etc)
Experience:
Total Quality Management/Safety Management/Environmental Management Diploma with 9 years or more experience SAMTRAC with more than 15 years’ experience of which 5 is in a Management position ISO 3834 – Part 2 Certification knowledge Working experience with Sasol Bulk of experience must be in the delivery of Capital projects in the Oil and Gas Petrochemical environment.
