Content and Programming Executive – Main Duties: All Campaigns:
The Content and Programming Executive will be working as part of a thriving team and will be responsible for planning and execution across our conference portfolios by developing engaging and informative conference programs that align with our objectives and meet the needs of our target audience on our various conference campaigns taking place on an annual basis.
The Content and Programming executive will build his/her own network of conference speakers, moderators and stakeholders from various sectors depending on the conference campaign. You are expected to reach a minimum target of weekly, monthly, and annual sales while working in a collaborative Business Development environment.
Role:
Given the entrepreneurial nature of this role, the Content and Programming executive is expected to demonstrate creative thinking and actively contribute to the planning and execution of our conferences. The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing engaging and informative conference programs that align with our objectives and meet the needs of our target audience.
The Content and Programming Executive is expected to “extremely” be innovative, organized, informed and up to date on the latest news involving our campaigns, have strong communication skills, be detail orientated and ambitious.
The Content and Programming executive reports directly to the Event Director and works closely with all departments including marketing, production, business development, operations, and database teams.
The Content and Programming Executive is tasked with achieving weekly, monthly, and annual targets within a collaborative environment. This individual should enjoy their work and be dedicated to delivering exceptional products that enhance the industries we serve.
Requirements:
2 – 3 years of conference producing experience is essential, preferably in the B2B environment
Tertiary qualification or relevant university degree (Compulsory/non-negotiable)
Main duties and responsibilities:
Develop conference agendas and program schedules that incorporate a diverse range of topics, speakers, and formats to appeal to our target audience.
Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and industry experts to identify relevant and timely conference themes and content.
Conduct research and stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure conference content remains current and relevant.
Identify and recruit high-profile speakers, subject matter experts, and thought leaders to participate in conference sessions, panels, and keynote presentations.
Coordinate with speakers and presenters to ensure they are well-prepared and have the necessary materials and resources for their sessions
Manage the production of conference materials, including program agendas, session descriptions, speaker bios, and presentation materials.
Oversee the logistics of conference programming, including room assignments, audiovisual requirements, and technical support.
Work closely with marketing and communications teams to promote conference content and engage attendees before, during, and after the event.
Collect feedback from attendees and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of conference programming and identify areas for improvement.
Manage events on-site, and assist with post-conference activities, such as compiling session recordings, developing post-event reports, and planning future conferences

Create detailed content briefs, outlines, and speaker guidelines for conference sessions.
Program Management:
Plan, organize, and manage the overall conference program, including session schedules, timelines, and logistics.
Coordinate with speakers, moderators, and panelists to confirm participation, gather presentation materials, and ensure session readiness.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate audiovisual, technical, and venue requirements for conference sessions.
Monitor and track program progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Speaker Management:
Identify and recruit industry experts, thought leaders, and influencers to serve as speakers and presenters at conference sessions.
Cultivate relationships with speakers, providing guidance and support throughout the speaker selection and preparation process.
Communicate session details, expectations, and logistics to speakers, ensuring they are well-prepared and equipped for their presentations.
Manage speaker contracts, honorariums, and travel arrangements in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
Content Promotion:
Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to generate interest and drive attendance for conference sessions.
Create compelling content assets, such as session descriptions, speaker profiles, and promotional materials, for use across various marketing channels.
Collaborate with the marketing team to leverage social media, email campaigns, website content, and other promotional tactics to maximize conference visibility and reach.
Monitor and analyze attendee feedback, session evaluations, and post-conference surveys to inform future content development and programming decisions.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to conference content development and programming.
Conduct post-conference debriefs and evaluations to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned in future conferences.
Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and professional development opportunities to contribute ideas and enhance skills related to conference content and programming
Reporting:
Provide the Event Director with weekly report detailing personal activities and forecast
Data capture of sales activities/calls and updating the CRM
Completion of sales progress reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to enable
Senior management to be updated on the progress of the events (e.g. revenue vs target, activity reporting etc.)
Provide the marketing team with market intelligence to assist with campaigns
Continually monitor and research the market using online resources, gaining customer feedback, attending and industry networking where appropriate
Effective communication with other internal departments including operations, marketing, finance to maximize client experience
