Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing full lifecycle product development.
- Production design and draughting.
- Liaise with the costing and production department.
- Production of all fabrication’s drawings upon request to the relevant standards and procedures.
- Ensure that all drawings and work instructions are kept up to date.
- Communication between different departments on current projects and requirements thereof.
- Concept design.
- Utilise work orders, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirements.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specification.
- Program and maintain current file revisions of drawings.
- Prepare detailed standardised work instructions and set-up sheets.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years proven work experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.
- Appropriately qualified
- Working experience within the Agricultural sector advantageous
- Project Management experience- beneficial
- Draughting skills
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design software. (SolidWorks & Inventor)
- National Senior Certificate.
- Driver’s licence.
- Competent in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technically minded & a creative thinker.
