A Day in the Life
As a Commercial Area Manager , you will play a pivotal role in expanding our brand presence and driving sales growth within your designated territory. You will achieve this by building strong relationships with existing and new clients, providing exceptional service, and implementing strategic initiatives to increase distribution and drive sell-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Increase distribution in existing business and strategically develop new business opportunities, consistently providing excellent service and support to all clients.
Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within pharmacies, retail businesses, and other relevant channels.
Sales & Marketing Execution: Actively participate in the planning, management, and execution of impactful client events and promotions, delivering detailed reports on results.
Training & Education: Conduct ongoing training sessions on our brand, products, and application techniques to pharmacy staff, retail teams, and Dermo Advisors, ensuring a high level of expertise.
Sales Analysis & Reporting: Manage sales-related administration, diligently capturing data on designated spreadsheets, and generating accurate and timely reports.
Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, staying informed about competitor activities, market trends, and new product launches.
Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and pursue new business growth opportunities within your allocated area, skillfully prospecting and opening new accounts.
Sell-Out Optimization: Drive sell-out across all retail channels by analyzing available reports, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
Dermo Advisor Management: Effectively manage and support Dermo Advisors in-store, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and motivation to drive sales.
Internal Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless communication, efficient operations, and the achievement of shared goals.
Skill Requirements:
Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to drive sales, negotiate effectively, and consistently close deals.
Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills, building rapport, and establishing long-lasting relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, delivering impactful presentations, writing clear reports, and communicating effectively at all levels.
Planning & Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem Solving & Initiative: Proactive and solutions-oriented, demonstrating initiative, taking ownership, and resolving challenges effectively.
Teamwork & Collaboration: A strong team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Great Plains, and comfortable with using technology and digital tools.
Education & Experience:
Matric qualification (or equivalent) is required. Relevant tertiary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous. Proven experience as a sales representative for a skincare brand is non-negotiable. Existing relationships with Pharmacies and Medicinal Business partners are highly advantageous.
