We are exclusively working with this organisation who is looking for an experienced Shipyard Manager to lead their team in Batam. Working with a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring the team, streamlining processes and ensuring quality standards are met. Key to this will be: overseeing the daily operations of the shipyard including construction, repair and maintenance activities; managing multiple projects to meeting deadlines, budgets, safety and quality standards; develop and executive strategies to enhance growth and profitability; identify and develop business opportunities and relationships with clients; promote a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development and employee engagement; promote a safety culture and implement safety programs, with regular audits and inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are met. You will enjoy using your proven track record in leading teams in a shipyard for at least 10 years, as well as successfully delivering projects. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to identify and address areas for improvement or requirements for training. Although primarily based at the shipyard, travel to clients, suppliers and stakeholders will be required, as well as to production and repair sites. Candidates must have a degree in engineering, maritime studies or business administration, and MBA studies would be highly advantageous.
