The APEX Head of Growth will be directly responsible for the growth of APEX in South Africa, overseeing the strategic development and execution of our proposition across a range of channels.
You must have an entrepreneurial approach and the ability to build and manage a business unit, including a team of 3 people.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering a commercial & solutions strategy for your market. To do this you will work closely with your Agency counterparts to understand the business and media objectives of their clients, and subsequently evolve and advance our product portfolio to support those objectives.
To do this effectively you will need to build strong relationships with your local Agency counterparts, and establish clear lines of communications to ensure a seamless, integrated & collaborative working model.
You must also have a good understanding of the media marketplace, and a strong network of connections with key media partners across a variety of channels.
As Lead you will work closely with the APEX Regional team, and your peers across the region, to share learnings, best practice, and support on global initiatives, with a particular focus on maintaining consistency in our approach to product frameworks and our relationship with global clients.
You must be a self-starter, and very goal orientated. This is an opportunity to lead the growth of APEX Exchange in South Africa, furthering our position as a core solution within Publicis Media’s strategic approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and deliver an annual business plan for APEX in your market, with a strategic approach to satisfying/exceeding the market revenue objective Develop long-term vision for APEX in your market, inclusive of developing and managing talent Educate Agencies and Clients, both new and existing, on the APEX value proposition Support and/or coordinate the engagement strategy for key Groupe clients and key local cleints for your markets Develop cross-channel marketing approaches for clients to leverage APEX ad solutions Deep understanding of yield and margin management through complex vendor deal structures Ensure all APEX activity meets client compliance requirements throughout the transaction processes, supporting on audits where necessary. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting requirements to regional and global teams, with particular focus on owning and maintaining the Global Tracker template for your market. Coordinate the development of the APEX solutions framework and product catalogue for your market, working closely with your regional lead and peers to maintain consistency where necessary. Support new business initiatives working alongside Commercial teams in identifying opportunity and risk.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient in English reading and writing Proven track record of top performance measured against business growth, revenue, and other variables 8+ years with increasing levels of responsibility within an agency or media company 6+ years of people management experience Ability to navigate complex client needs as well as internal agency dynamics Acknowledge and commit to comply with our internal procedures intending to prevent bribery and corruption
