The Senior Credit Advisor will be responsible for managing and mitigating credit risk by evaluating and processing credit applications, advising on credit policies, and developing strategies to improve the creditworthiness of clients. This role involves overseeing credit analysts’ responsibilities, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:
BSc Agricultural Economics or BCom in Agricultural Economics, or a related field Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related role Strong understanding of financial statements, credit scoring models, and risk assessment techniques Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suit

Credit Evaluation and Analysis: Conduct thorough credit assessments and risk analysis for new and existing clientsAnalyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentsDevelop credit proposals and recommendations based on assessment findings
Credit Processing and Approval: Oversee the processing of credit applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is completeApprove or decline credit applications within authorized limitsPresent complex cases to the Credit Committee for further review and decision-making
Risk Management: Monitor and manage the credit portfolio to identify and mitigate potential risksImplement and maintain credit policies and proceduresConduct periodic reviews of existing clients to reassess their creditworthiness
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice on credit mattersAssist clients in improving their credit profiles and developing tailored credit solutionsResolve client inquiries and issues promptly and effectively
Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor credit analysts’ responsibilities, providing guidance and support in their professional developmentConduct training sessions on credit analysis, risk assessment, and company policies
