This role requires a BIM software modelling technician with a solid understanding of their specific discipline. The role can be presented by a junior professional or technician and focuses mainly on research and development of BIM in a holistic approach to the overall AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) or Built Environment.

Role Dependencies
Engineering Personnel Internal CKR disciplines for quality coordination of MEP services. External stakeholders (Consultants; PM’s; Architects; QS; Clients; Developers; Government Bodies etc.) Liaising with Clients and other Consultants drafting personnel

Understanding client requirements, interpreting them using engineering judgements and presenting a solution. Duties will comprise:
General
BIM modelling for specific design discipline Work under direction of Senior Draftsman Team Lead Ensure construction documents accuracy based on discipline BIM modelling Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines design-changes and model challenges Adhere to BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow Present new technologies which align and add benefit to the overall company BIM strategy Follow BIM standards and development procedures May take lead on developing some discipline specific BIM modelling content for project Prepare BIM models for coordination meetings Oversee the communication of project information via DWF for collaboration internally and externally Drafting Technician under close supervision, perform simple drafting tasks, often with finished work as a guide. This is the entry level class for the engineering drafting. Incumbents have had sufficient training and/or experience to produce an acceptable quality and quantity of simple, repetitive drafting work without additional on-the-job training and without being required to have any substantial knowledge of engineering, symbols and terminology. Incumbents typically are expected to progress to Senior Drafting Technician. Examples of assignments at this level of difficulty and responsibility are: Drafting assistant to a Principal Drafting Technician, preparing simple engineering detail drawings, circuit and other diagrams, and maintaining files of completed work and copies.
Administration/Internal Management
Plan your work every day and week. Complete work within agreed times and adhere to priorities. Plan your leave in conjunction with project engineers and project managers. Adhere to internal procedures and systems. Fill in time sheets on a daily basis, using the system as provided by CKR.
