Diversified and established group based in the Cape Winelands is searching for an ambitious and talented financial professional to join them as a Junior Financial Manager. The business is mainly involved in commercial agriculture, exports, property development, retail, and marketing.
As the Junior Finance Manager, your role would be critical in supporting the Financial Manager, overseeing the financial operations, management reporting, and ensuring the financial health and success of the organization.
Ideally, the candidate will have completed CIMA or SAICA articles, eligible to hold a professional qualification, and post articles experience will be a positive. Advanced Excel skills is a must, and knowledge of reporting automation and system implementations an added benefit.

The purpose of this newly created role is for the incumbent to assist the Financial Manager, grow within the position, and form part of the succession planning process in the finance department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Review work of the junior accounting and admin staff.
- Compile and review cashflow forecasts and assist with CF management.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting process.
- Evaluate and improve internal controls.
- New process and system implementations.
- Automation of reporting and continuous enhancements.
- Financial Compliance and Risk Management.
- Treasury and Banking Relations.
- Asset and Liability Management.
- Any financial and management tasks delegated by the Financial Manager.
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CIMA - CGMA ACMA, CA(SA), AGA(SA), PA(SA) or similar professional qualification.
- Minimum 3 - 4 years’ experience, with one year post articles beneficial.
- Advanced Excel with knowledge of financial modelling, pivot tables, finance formula etc.
- ERP Accounting systems experience a plus.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
