The Senior Financial Manager, who is a Chartered Accountant (CA), is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of an organization, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to senior executives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to senior executives, including recommendations on investments, risk management, and financial performance.
Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and planning.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Ensure that financial systems and processes are efficient, effective, and secure, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA) certification
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
10+ years of experience in financial management, including experience in a senior financial leadership role
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools, as well as experience with financial systems and reporting software.
Experience with Sage Intacct & Sage 300 preferable
