Overview
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Professional Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team in Port Elizabeth.
Responsibilities:
Planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects from start to finish. Drafting and preparing tender documents. Generating various reports throughout project phases (Project Inception, Concept and Viability, Design, tender evaluation, progress, financial, close-out, etc). Daily management and administration of civil engineering projects. Addressing technical inquiries and resolving issues, leading Site and Technical Meetings, and documenting minutes. Managing financial aspects of construction contracts. Regular communication with professionals and clients. Assisting with project safety and environmental compliance during construction. Handling general office and project-related administrative tasks.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist. Minimum of 3+ years’ postgraduate experience in civil engineering project planning, design, and contract administration. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project. Basic knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil3D. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, especially ACC, is advantageous. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
