Responsibilities
: Recruit a team of interpreters to demonstrate traditional, historical crafts in a variety of subjects. Arrange for the training and apprenticeships of interpreters to learn the necessary specialist skills required for historical demonstrations. Manage the team of hosts (including shift management, some HR admin) and oversee daily operations of activities on the site. General administration regarding activity management on the site, including liaising with the maintenance and gardening teams, as well as the retail team regarding on-site production of items for sale.

Qualifications: Experience in an educational context teaching woodwork, metalwork, animal husbandry or similar subjects. Experience managing a small team. Previous experience in a hospitality or tourism context would be beneficial. Formal or informal training in traditional, historical crafts such as woodwork, blacksmithing, leatherwork, milling or similar subjects. Experience working with farm animals, whether formally or informally. Fluent in both written and verbal Afrikaans and English.
