Responsibilities
Processing of financial information Performing balance sheet reconciliations Calculation of VAT & EMP return information and reconciliations Completion of VAT & EMP returns Processing of payroll information Fixed asset register maintenance and wear-and-tear allowance calculations COID Return of Earning calculation and preparation SARS verifications/audits/queries Management of allocated client portfolios and relationships Calculation of provisional taxes Preparation of Formal and Standard management report Analytical procedures and understanding of purpose and results Preparation of Financial Statement Compilations Preparation of Independent Review procedures and engagements of Financial Statements Client queries and collaboration with related departments/seniors Support and provide basic accounting training to junior trainee accountants Submission/filing of VAT and EMP returns Preparation and filing of EMP reconciliations and IRP5 Certificates Submission of COIDA Return of Earnings Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members Continuously be on the look-out for innovative opportunities to improve on efficiency, quality and service delivery Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or learning towards Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Completed first year of training contract and in the process of completing training contract with SAIPA/CIMA/AGA or similar professional body Experience in reporting and reconciling in group of companies Experience in Xero Accounting Xero Certified Advisor Certificate (advantageous) IFRS for SME’s (advantageous) VAT Act Companies Act Understanding of COID and UIF compliance requirements and processes with the Department of Labour Experience with SARS processes and collaboration Advanced Excel skills and experience Compilation Engagements (advantageous) CaseWare Working Papers experience (advantageous)
