A proudly South African engineering design and consulting firm that focuses on six key market sectors are currently on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer/Technologist
The incumbent ‘s responsibilities include ensuring that all the respective mechanical engineering tasks and targets are achieved, in cooperation with other engineers and the Head of the Department. These shall mainly be responsibilities associated with ECSA work Stages, and others as detailed below:
Responsible for all duties and deliverables in the ECSA work stages, and from time to time other workflow stages such as SIPDM, FEED, and FEL.
Responsible for the design of mechanical building services for various types of buildings, e.g. hospitals, commercial, residential and industrial building environments
Responsible for the design of services/systems such as, but not limited to: HVAC, Wet Services, Fire Protection, Medical Gas, Compressed Air, Lifts
Responsible for construction supervision and contract admin of building mechanical services projects
Responsible for project management of building mechanical services projects within time and budget and compliant with iX engineers QMS
Responsible for the preparation of contractor’s tender documents for mechanical building services projects
Responsible for routine administration tasks as required from time to time
Prepare and/or assist with the preparation of proposals
Assist with the compilation and review of discipline-specific technical documents, standards, templates, and technologies.
Responsible for all duties and deliverables in the ECSA work stages.
Mentor, coach, train and provide technical leadership to team members and candidate Engineers/Technologists/Technicians
Proficient with Autocad, Revit, Carrier HAP
Knowledge & experience of South African working conditions and SANS 10400
