The main purpose of this position is to Carry out electrical designs for new and repaired transformers (Distribution, PV, BESS, VSD, etc) up to 10 MVA and 170kV and prepare relevant
documents. Implementation of electrical design technology at WTA according WTD guidelines and standards
Duties and responsibilities
◼ Carry out electrical calculation considering material’s characteristics and equipment of new and repair for medium and power transformers
◼ Strip & Quotes Transformers and mini subs for repair. These include complete
inspection, assessment of the equipment conditions, check results and write of report failure.
◼ Optimize designs with cost calculation, considering available materials and techniques, including not moved materials on stock, take in account customer specification.

◼ Analyse, interpret and maintain electrical design databases.
◼ Ability to take decisions, identify risks and opportunities in the design process and systems applications
◼ Assist and give relevant information to the Factory, Purchasing, Sales and Technical Assistance areas.
◼ Knowledge of national and international standards applied to electric transformer design.
◼ Assist to prepare and review company’s technical standards applied in the design section.
Qualifications and Experience
◼ Degree in Electrical Engineering
◼ More than 5 years’ experience in medium and power transformer design up to 10 MVA 170 kV Class.
◼ Knowledge of electrical calculation considering material’s characteristics and equipment applied in medium and power transformer.
◼ Knowledge of manufacturing process applied in medium / distribution transformer.
◼ Ability to work with customized engineering design software and advise on improvements.
◼ Computer Literacy: Windows, MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD.
◼ Literacy on Design and Testing Software: DTDS, Test bay Software (ENS).
◼ Ability to understand and support the flow process between areas of the company.
◼ Ability to input and read information on the MRP system (SYSPRO).

▪ A code 8 driver’s licence.

Working Conditions
◼ Predominantly office based.
◼ Out of office errands from time to time.
◼ Required to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends and holidays should the need arise.
◼ Position may require out of town travel
