An international firm of consulting firms is looking for a specialist Substation Design Engineer to join their team in Gauteng. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing substation (HV and MV) projects. Join a team of respected engineers worldwide and work on large and exciting projects in energy transition.
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor of Engineering degree/higher degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university
•Professional Registration with ECSA
•10 Year experience post-graduation in Transmission and Distribution Projects
•Minimum 6 years of professional experience in HV Substation design and Project Management
•Experience in design management and design delivery for projects and managing professional teams of medium/large T&D projects
•PMP / SACPCMP would be beneficial
•Specialist Knowledge in Substation standards and applications would be beneficial
•Specialist Knowledge / Experience in Earthing and Lightning Protection would be beneficial
•Knowledge of QA and OHS requirements applicable to T&D Projects in a consulting environment
•Knowledge of the commercial aspects of project management
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to effectively write reports
•Courteous and business orientated manners when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations
•Co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment
•Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
•Ability to make technical decisions which are outcome driven
