Overall Job Function
Work as part of the Mechanical Engineering team in supporting production and development activities with a primary focus on documenting various jigs and fixtures. This will require refining existing designs to ensure robustness in production environment, which entails adhering to strict configuration requirements. Will report to Mechanical Team Lead.
Job Responsibilities
- Creating and updating CAD models and drawings of process-related jigs, fixtures and painting masks
- Ensuring that these drawings are properly configured to allow Purchasing Dept to order without Mechanical Engineering Dept’s involvement.
- Create prototypes of jigs/fixtures/masks to test and ensure proper function and production robustness
- Assist with development testing and reporting
Job Requirements
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 1 – 5 years relevant work experience
- Keen eye for detail (both technical and administrative)
- Very good administrative skills
- Needs to pragmatic about design solutions
- Proficient with SolidWorks
- Good fabrication skills and abilities
- The following would be advantageous:
- Experience with Solidworks PDM
- Experience on CNC milling machines/routers (to fast-track prototypes)
