Hire Resolve, a prominent recruitment agency, is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction firm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring all financial aspects of construction projects are handled efficiently.
Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of various projects, maintaining quality and budget standards while collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Manage and control project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Conduct site measurements to accurately assess quantities. Prepare and review tender documents, including bills of quantities. Monitor project expenses and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Provide ongoing financial reporting and forecasting on projects. Liaise with contractors and suppliers for pricing and contract negotiations. Ensure compliance with contracts and project specifications. Assist with the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts. Participate in project meetings to address budgeting concerns and financial strategies.
Requirements
BSc in Quantity Surveying or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry. Proficiency in cost estimation software (., CCS, WinQS). Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor
