An established Creative Agency, based in the East of Johannesburg, has a vacancy for a senior Web & SEO Specialist
The Web & SEO specialist is responsible for the implementation of digital strategy for on-boarded brands.
Working in collaboration with the lead strategists & SEO specialist, you will be responsible for a group of brands within the department. You will immerse yourself in the brands under your remit, by gaining a thorough understanding of their industry category, as well as their business objectives. In this role, you will use your strong communication and client leadership skills to build relationships with clients key personnel. You will work strategically to identify the Client’s needs and challenges, providing sustainable solutions and results driven work. You will collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, to deliver strategic and client service excellence.
Qualifications/ Experience
- 3-5 years experience within a marketing function (preferably agency)
- Qualification in Marketing or certification in Digital Marketing (Google Search, etc.)
- An understanding of project management disciplines
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills (desirable)
- Good understanding of search and digital marketing is crucial
- Analytics experience is vital (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, as well as any other tools utilised such as SEMRush, AhRefs, etc.)

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills – confident to present to clients at all levels
- An understanding of SEO and how it fits into the overall marketing mix
- Strategically-driven and analytical in approach
- Able to extrapolate insights through data analysis
Responsibilities
- Deliver on day-to-day strategic tasks such as keyword research, and monitoring campaigns and projects
- Use good writing and storytelling skills, to structure insights and present recommendations aligned to objectives
- Think strategically and act tactically, using the data provided to develop clear and consistent search strategies
- Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
- Seek out proactive opportunities to increase client satisfaction and loyalty
- Monitor and maintain high levels of Client service
- Work closely with the digital project manager, in terms of deliverables per project
- Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams within the business and its clients, building strong relationships
