A Day in the Life
As the Senior Planner for SA & SSA, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain to meet the dynamic demands of our customers and consumers. You will lead the sales forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and transparency to drive efficient supply planning. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and the broader Supply Chain team to guarantee product availability while optimizing costs and service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply:
Ensure the smooth execution of the planning process to guarantee product availability while optimizing customer service and cost, improving stock quality. Manage E&O, maintaining healthy stock levels by proposing and implementing action plans to clear Excess and Obsolete stock. Develop the Division's Supply Plan based on validated sales forecasts, co-packing plans, and stock and supply/procurement parameters. Analyze the stock equation to confirm logistical feasibility, communicating with the MSL on long-term issues like capacity and demand gaps. Define stock and supply parameters to achieve service rate, cost, and global targeted stock objectives. Manage the replenishment process, evaluating shortage risks and communicating priorities to the MSL. Manage stock levels according to country objectives, analyze obsolete and excess stock, and implement corrective action plans. Reduce shortages by analyzing root causes, defining action plans, and challenging suppliers on MAD dates for out-of-stock products. Monitor and communicate Key Performance Indicators (out-of-stock, service rate, stock) internally and to the MSL. Develop the budgeted stock based on stock and supply parameters. Actively participate in best practice improvement initiatives.
Demand:
Own catalogue management and contribute to its rationalization. Manage the accuracy and quality of sales forecasts. Manage the global monthly sales forecast process. Develop baseline forecasts. Challenge and consolidate promotions and launch sales forecasts from the Sales and Marketing teams. Ensure global sales forecast consistency by building consensus between commercial forecasts, financial trends, and sales history. Participate in improving sales forecasting practices.
Leadership & Collaboration:
For the field expert ("Local Business Owner"):Contribute to improving processes and information systems related to your area of expertise and act as a referent for your role in the country.Lead and train the Supply Chain community on best practices and tools related to your area of expertise. Maintain, create, and monitor the accuracy of Masterdata for the Division, ensuring codes are correctly maintained to optimize Supply Chain processes. Collaborate effectively with the Demand Planner for the Division.
Consumer Oriented
Foster a demand-driven Supply Chain with service as a priority. Bring added value to the customer and the consumer.
