Job Description
A large international IPP is looking for a Senior Project Developer with experience on Wind and Solar PV projects to join their team in Cape Town.
Requirements:
•Master’s degree in engineering or environmental.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in energy development
•Experience in running technical feasibility studies
•Experience in wind and solar resource assessments
•Experience and understanding of technical grid connection requirements
•Experience with Wasp/WindPro/WindFarm/Open Winds or similar
Your key responsibilities will include:
•Driving business development, site and project acquisition
•Conducting technical due diligence of renewable energy projects
•Driving the entire development process from pre-feasibility to feasibility and procurement stages
•Obtain all development permits and authorisations in order to reach compliance to bid projects into government-backed and private procurement programmes and taking it to financial close.
