General Manager: Operations.5
To ensure the management of all stakeholder relationships on all aspects and areas impacted by the medical scheme. To be responsible for the leadership and management of the business unit, taking full accountability for the delivery of operational service as required in terms of the contract. Play a key role in the client relationship management.
Key Activities
- Manage the execution of the business strategy related to the managed care contractual services.
- Manage day to day operations in order to meet all scheme deliverables and mitigate financial penalties through optimal operational management.
- Explore opportunities for operational efficiencies on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain capacity management in terms of budget management and the delivery of service to the business.
- Provide leadership to the business unit’s operational plan that is executed through the senior managers and their teams.
- Oversee staff optimisation for the purposes of recruitment fit for purpose, staff development, the work environment as well as quality of work performed.
- Interface internally with other BUs and support services with a purpose of synergy and project innovation
- Participate in the relevant forums internally and externally.
- Interface externally with the business operations and SPN to ensure system and process integration.
- Manage issues and finding solutions to issues relating to every area of the operations that are Escalated.

Experience and Qualifications
12 years’ operational experience in the health care environment at senior management level. Clinical degree, business degree advantageous.
