My client seeks an Assistant Accountant for a maternity cover role in the FMCG sector. The ideal incumbent will be experienced in daily financial accounting operations. Your strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure is essential. You will be deadline-driven with a proactive team-oriented approach coupled with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process Cashbook Function and all related queries Process and reconcile a wide variety of financial transactions Preparation of management account journal entries Prepare various monthly Income Statement, Balance Sheet Schedules and Reconciliations AP Foreign creditors – Evidence of Importation AP Local Creditors – Invoice processing as required Update and Reconcile Fixed Asset Register Assist with month end roll over procedures Assist in providing information and reports to Head Office Assist in preparation of Cash Flow Computations Assist with preparation and coordination of audit processes Assist with problem solving any accounting / finance ad hoc tasks Available for financial year end in December
Requirements:
BCom Accounting Degree 5 years’ experience within a similar role Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills Immediately available
