Your proven track record in delivering successful projects, particularly in South Africa and globally, is essential. You'll lead the charge in improving project technical designs, managing tenders and contracts, and ensuring risk mitigation across projects.

Your extensive international experience and deep understanding of solar PV designs will be key as you navigate projects in South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. You'll be the bridge between technical, legal, and financial stakeholders, ensuring projects meet high standards of performance and safety.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or technical engineering Registered as a professional engineer (ECSA) Registered as a Pr. Eng or in the process of attaining registration

Experience Requirements

8+ years of experience with solar PV technologies in the international RE arena Proven track record of the successful delivery of international RE solar PV and wind projects Embedded knowledge of solar PV plant designs, Energy Yield Assessment, layouts and connection interfaces

Responsibilities

As Senior RE Engineer, you would play a pivotal role in managing and executing high-quality technical advisory works for solar PV and wind projects. Passionate about innovation and sustainability, you'll oversee project management and interface between various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and control & instrumentation.

Your responsibilities will encompass conducting technical assessments and economic feasibility studies for solar PV and wind projects, proposing technical enhancements to project designs, and managing tender stages and contract negotiations. Additionally, you'll lead due diligence efforts for solar PV projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive business development initiatives, defining sales strategies and managing client relationships. With a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, you'll embody our client’s values and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
