Amazon South Africa Marketplace Team is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to build and execute acquire programs that address challenges and barriers faced by small- and medium-sized businesses in adopting e-commerce solutions. As a Business Development Manager you will contribute to the development of our tools, processes and best practices.
You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key agencies and internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. You will build success cases together with those accounts by providing business insights, training and identifying business opportunities and executing a growth strategy.
Key job responsibilities
Execute programs that address challenges and barriers faced by small- and medium-sized businesses in adopting e-commerce solutions
Develop strategies for promoting e-commerce readiness with small- and medium-sized businesses
Personally leading key business development activities, from the exploratory phase and expansion or partnerships
Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships i.e agencies, financial institutions etc
Establish mechanisms to maintain a funnel of small- and medium-sized businesses partners, onboarding and training
Establish mechanisms for monitoring program progress and evaluating the impact of interventions
Contributing to the development of our tools, processes and best practices
Identify potential risks and challenges associated with program implementation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree
- Experience with business development
- Oral and written communication skills
- Project Management skills (Stakeholder management, written communication, regular updates, Program flashes, audits, review meetings, process audits)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to quickly build credibility with external partners and internal Amazon stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done.
- Experience in working in an ambiguous environment with changing priorities
- SQL knowledge
