Overview
Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading construction company in Gauteng and they are seeking an Intermediate Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects and ensuring cost control measures are implemented effectively.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit bids and tenders for construction projects Manage and control project costs, including monitoring and reporting on budgetary allocations Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates Assist in the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials Assess and analyze variations and claims Prepare and submit progress claims, valuations, and final accounts Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cost management Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective cost control
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on civil projects Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure principles, practices, and construction methodologies Experience working on both GCC and FIDIC contracts would be advantageous Experience in cost estimating, quantity take-offs, and bill of quantities preparation Proficient in relevant quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
